My New (Secret) Release
Firstly: No, I’m sorry. It’s not Pure Souls 3. But that long-awaited volume should be releasing later this spring, so not too much longer to wait.
But I do have a new release out. In fact, it’s already been out for two weeks. But you’re not going to find it if you go looking under my profile on Amazon or anywhere else. And the reason is, it’s not written under the same name. You’ll find it under Mari K. Cicero.
Before you ask, here’s why: COMPLIMENTS is unlike any book I’ve put out so far. It uses a different voice and style, and is a different genre than that which I’ve before published. I’m proud of this new adult romance, but I didn’t want to mislead readers familiar with my other works into thinking it was business as usual. It’s not dark, but there is some serious matter to it. It’s not comedic, but it does endearing moments of levity. It’s, in short, different. I do, however, hope you’ll like it.
Robin Lewis is a brilliant college student who did a truly stupid thing. Trying to escape the consequences of a forbidden romance, she enrolls at prestigious Manderson University, and decides that the only way to avoid making the same mistake twice is to have no social life at all. All good and fine, until she literally falls into Hawk Stephens’ life one late night at the office.
Hawk is more than just a pretty face and a brilliant mind. He’s also the night janitor. Robin wants to resist the attraction, but it’s hard to ignore the way he seems so perfect for her. But when she finds out Hawk is so much more than he seems, embroiled by the fallout of his own regretful decisions, she questions if two such broken people can ever add up to a whole.
